User FAQs

The concert hall is designed in the round, with 80% of the seats within 65 feet of the stage. The walls are canted at a slight angle to disperse sound and prevent flutter echoes. The design is based on the European model of a symphonic facility, with permanent choral seating adjacent to the orchestra platform.

Each curved surface of the hall features an undulating acoustical facia that diffuses, reflects, and channels sound throughout the venue. The custom-designed steam-bent plywood seats also contribute to the acoustical excellence by simulating a full house regardless of audience size.

The concert hall is home to the Colorado Symphony and is also utilized for touring concerts, graduations, and private events.

The upper rows that ring the stage high above have padded edges, allowing audience members to lean forward comfortably. Walking around before the show reveals that there are no bad seats, just different views. The seats on the 4th level, while having obstructive views, are not bolted down, allowing for flexible seating arrangements.

It is recommended to arrive early to avoid crowds when entering and exiting the venue. The entrance may be small, but there are plenty of restrooms available, with at least one on each of the 4 levels of the hall. The venue offers a great place to hear and watch music being made.
