We teach skills necessary for skateboarding – balance, confidence, determination, and problem solving skills – and then help transfer those skills off the board as well as on.

We are complying with all state and local health and safety guidelines and have lifted most Covid protocols.

Memberships are back. After School Sessions, Weekend Session, and Teen Nights are no longer operating with limited numbers and "drop-ins" are again being permitted, but registering ahead is still recommended.

All 17 picnic shelters can be rented for family or corporate picnics. Fishing is available at the 60 surface acre Johnston Reservoir with a valid fishing license. Clement Park is home to many organized special events including the Summerset Festival each September.

Clement Park was built by Jefferson County Open Space in 1987 with funds from the county-wide open space tax. From 1989-2018, Clement Park was owned by Jefferson County Open Space and leased under a long-term management agreement to Foothills Park and Recreation District for management and programming purposes. In December 2018, the park was deeded to Foothills Park & Recreation District by Jefferson County. The park site used to be part of the Grant Family Ranch and was purchased from the Grant family for park purposes.

Foothills received a planning grant from Jefferson County Open Space in 2013 to work on a Clement Park Redevelopment Master Plan. Throughout 2013, Foothills executed several community engagement activities and created ideas for renovation of the park. Foothills secured $8,720,300 for Clement Park, and completed specific renovation projects between 2016-2020 as outlined in the master plan.

The park is named after former County Commissioner Bob Clement, who was a driving force behind both the original property purchase negotiations and securing funding for the initial park development. In the mid eighties, Bob Clement died of a heart attack on the County Courthouse steps on Christmas eve. He was succeeded in office by his wife Bunny Clement. On September 17, 2004 a memorial garden was dedicated in honor of Bunny Clement adjacent to Johnston Reservoir.
