When they first come into therapy, they may be experiencing perfectionism and self-doubt, dissatisfaction with their relationships and lingering anxiety.

They want to be confident and self-assured, have healthy, intimate relationships and manage their stress. They’re tired of over-thinking and constant worry. They’re ready to learn how to cope with difficult emotions, and want a deeper understanding of themselves.

If you’re working hard to be yourself in a world that’s filled with self-comparison, decision-fatigue and unrealistic expectations; it’s no wonder you’re overwhelmed. It’s often because of this overwhelm that people aren’t able to articulate what’s causing them distress. Therapy can help you make sense of your experience and provide clarity.

A need to always look put-together and strong can be destructive and exhausting. It seems like the harder you try, the harder it gets. The pressure to appear “all good” invalidates the emotions we all experience as human beings. Living in a culture of toxic positivity only reinforces the idea that negative thoughts and feelings are somehow inherently unhealthy.

In therapy, outdated notions are challenged and you will not be invalidated for feeling…anything. Many of my clients have internalized beliefs about who they should and shouldn’t be- and most of these beliefs are false. Therapy is a non-judgmental space where you can truly express yourself without fear of being judged or shamed.

Like my clients, you deserve to feel comfortable in your own skin. Tuning in and feeling connected to yourself and others is within reach. If you want to let go of unhelpful beliefs and attitudes about yourself, I’d love to help you get there.

I love working with clients who have struggled because I’ve been through it myself. I have a deep understanding of what it’s like to feel self-critical, inadequate, addicted, different etc. because I’ve lived it and have found my way through. I believe it’s because of my personal experiences that I am able to connect with people on a very real and intimate level. For this I am incredibly grateful. Also, getting help from someone not in your “real life” is different. There’s a level of raw honesty that comes with confidentiality. It’s an honor to hear someone’s truth.
