4worldlovers: The Hampden Heights Swim and Tennis Club is located within the Hampden Heights neighborhood and is a privately owned club that offers a variety of memberships for purchase. The facility is typically open for business from Memorial Day through Labor Day each year.

Swimming should be suspended when lightning is within 6 miles of the pool. Use 1 long whistle blow to clear the pool and make sure all bodies of water are cleared of swimmers. Staff need to monitor patrons to ensure no one is near the water during the closure. Swimming remains suspended until lightning has moved outside the 6-mile radius for a consecutive 15 minutes. When the lightning is 3 miles away, the deck should be cleared of employees and patrons.

We want our staff to go indoors and stay protected from the lightning. Therefore, the facility needs to be cleared. This policy is much like soccer and baseball fields.

Front Range Recreation has been in the business for over 30 years….We reevaluate all our policies annually and make changes when necessary. All the weather apps state ‘seek shelter immediately’ when lighting is in proximity. Additionally, we are a mile high in the sky!

Both of my daughters have been going to Little Kickers for the past few months. They both love it! All the instructors are very kind and passionate. They work with each child’s individual personality to ensure they feel safe, are having fun, and learning! My 4yo would not put her face or ears in water (including in the bath), but now is completely fine going under water, can back float, and do short swims. My baby was a little uneasy about getting in a pool with a stranger, but has a great time at every lesson and is very comfortable in the water. I highly recommend Little Kickers!!

These guys are amazing. We’ve been taking our three-year-old daughter here for the better part of the past year. It isn’t the cheapest experience, to be sure, but to see the development, confidence and comfort she has in and around the water now is incredible! The new facility is perfect.

Little kickers is a wonderful swim school. We had relocated from Australia to Denver and I was struggling to find a suitable swim school for my son who was a pretty advanced swimmer for his age. I was recommended to little kickers and the ladies were wonderful, the one on one lessons allows the full allotment of time to spent on swimming (not sitting on the edge as with group lessons). Their flexibility around lesson times and cancellation policies were amazing. I have also recommended little kickers to plenty of friends and they have had equally great experiences.

Generally, the pools open Memorial Day weekend and close for the season on Labor Day.
