4worldlovers: City Spraygrounds: The city maintains two spraygrounds located at Great Plains Park and Red-tailed Hawk Park. Both spraygrounds are open daily from 10 a.m.-7 p.m., May 28-Sept. 5, 2022.

Park Noise: Keep the volume of your music and voices to a reasonable level. City code (Sec. 146-1802) limits residential sound levels to 55 decibels during the day which, for example, is the sound of a normal conversation. After 9 p.m., the level drops to 45 decibels. Park Shelters: 20 of the city's parks have reservable shelters with grills. All other shelters are free and first come, first served during park hours.

Beginning January 3, 2023, reservations will no longer be accepted and all tour tickets will be available from the Tour Information Window on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Tour Information Window is located on Cherokee Street between Colfax Avenue and West 14th Avenue. It opens at 7 a.m. on Monday through Thursday (excluding observed federal holidays), and will remain open until all tickets have been distributed.

Tickets are for same-day tours only; no advance tickets are available. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited to 5 per person. All visitors must be 7 years and older.

Peak season is Memorial Day through Labor Day, but the tours are very popular year round. During peak season, we recommend arriving as early as possible.

Tour times and availability vary each day. There may be days that tours are not available, and tours may be canceled without prior notice. Please be aware that coin production schedules vary. Coins may not be in production during your tour.

All visitors must present a ticket to gain entry. Lost tickets cannot be replaced and are non-transferable. All visitors must be at the tour entrance located on Cherokee Street 30 minutes before their scheduled tour time. Late arrivals will not be admitted. The Mint does not provide parking, but there are meters and pay lots within a few blocks of the Mint.

Tour participants must comply with all COVID-19 requirements (including but not limited to mask wearing) in effect at the United States Mint at the time of the tour.

Tours are subject to cancellation, possibly with little or no notice, when circumstances warrant building closure or other cancellation at the United States Mint’s sole discretion. Please plan accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

There is an extensive list of prohibited items, including all purses and bags. The Mint does NOT provide lockers or storage for any items. All visitors are subject to a security screening, including metal detection and X-ray examination of hand-carried items. The United States Mint reserves the right to deny access to anyone at any time.
