Welcome to the first ever official Happy Hour Guitar class that we call Strum & Sip! The idea started when my friend John and I were playing guitar and sipping on some tequila. We thought to ourselves, wow this is great! Learn how to play guitar while sipping your favorite drink! We later decided to get a few friends together and so back in January 2011, Strum & Sip was born. We currently offer 12 levels of instruction from beginner to advanced, along with dozens of elective classes. In addition to years of teaching experience, he has studied guitar pedagogy with Douglas Niedt at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. Brendan is passionate about sharing his love of music with his students. He is well versed in rock, blues, pop, jazz, classical, flamenco, and a variety of other musical genres and styles. Guitar lessons give a student confidence, as well as knowledge of music theory, history, songwriting, and other basic musicianship skills.

Brendan has experience teaching both children and adults. He grew up playing in Kansas City, and has since performed and studied in the United States and Europe. JAM BANDS: Jam Bands are a 60-75 minute sessions, where students have an opportunity to learn a song with other guitar and drum students and play together as a band. Group Lessons are an ongoing opportunity to learn songs and theory with other students. In these settings, students learn the value and skill of playing with other musicians.

I began teaching guitar, bass, voice and audio production from my studio, Audio Digital, in Arvada in 2001, but I have been involved in music literally for my entire life. I began singing at age 5, played Trumpet from age 8 to 11, began playing Bass Guitar and taking private lessons at age 11. I began teaching myself Guitar at age 13.
