Rock 101 is one of School of Rock Denver's top programs for kids and beginners. Students have one weekly group rehearsal where they learn to play classic rock songs that have been simplified for beginner musicians. Additionally, Rock 101 students in Denver have a weekly private music lesson with an instructor who helps them learn the concepts and skills behind their performance songs.

There is a strong focus on proper technique, but the real goal is getting down to the point of creating music and expressing one’s own creativity. My approach to teaching goes deep into technique and musicality, and I have developed and recorded many tracks to aid students in learning songs, playing with dynamics, keeping solid time, trading solos, interacting with a soloist, and being familiar with multiple genres.

I offer one-on-one lessons and students can opt to take lessons in the comfort of their own home, or at Teo’s private studio in Centennial, which is always done on 2 acoustic drum sets unlike a lot of other places that use electronic drums. Lessons can help students explore various musical styles including: contemporary, classical, jazz , fusion, metal, country, folk, blues, funk, and rock.
