It has happened again: The period of time between Valentine’s Day 2022 and Valentine’s Day 2023 has evaporated and we must now once again consider Valentine’s Day. If it’s food you need to consider, rest easy — we have lobsters, we have crab cakes, we have caviar, we have Niman Ranch beef tenderloin, we have a Cioppino Meal for 2, and we have a whole lot more.

The whole reason we're still here after 20 years is because of you. You have supported us through the "normal" times and through the weirder-than-weird times. You've trudged through blizzards to get breakfast burritos and you've endured sweltering Friday nights in July to join us for Burger Night.

If you take all the lovely things about spring — more light in the evenings, flowers blooming, trees budding out, warmer temperatures — and convert them into an amalgam of flavors, it would taste like key lime pie. Our key lime pies, which we make from scratch, are engineered to maximize the symbiosis of tart and sweet. According to the SKLPD (the Society of Key Lime Pie Devourers — very prestigious) and everyone who has had one of our key lime pies (even more prestigious), it's THE perfect dessert for spring. Always available in the refrigerated cases by our delis.


The slashes on rustic loaves aren’t just about aesthetics, although they do look really cool, as if the loaves were forged somewhere in Middle Earth and brought to the surface by a caravan of the most loving creatures ever to inhabit the inhabitable. Slashes create weak spots in a loaf’s surface, allowing the interior to expand fully in the desired direction. Without the slashes you get the Comedic Bread Hour, during which the loaf will expand outward wherever it finds a random weak spot, resulting in a loaf that is as oddly shaped as something from the Build-a-Contorted-Protuberance Workshop.

We slash each baguette we make by hand (that is one of our baguettes above — a very pretty one). That comes to like 80 billion thousand slashes per day, give or take. It's a lot. And our baguettes are incomparable.


You may think of a neighborhood market as one that is located in the heart of a vibrant neighborhood, one that has just the right ingredients and has many, many local products and fastidiously carries the freshest produce and has an onsite butcher who can custom-cut the finest Niman Ranch meats. And this market may also bake its own breads, make its own from-scratch ice creams (even the base!), soups, chicken pot pies, chili con carne, lasagnas, so many things, and this market may have people who will remember your name, will greet you, will make you laugh. Since 1994 Spinelli’s Market has loyally served customers in the Park Hill neighborhood of Denver, Colorado, providing gourmet foods and Italian specialties. Spinelli’s is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Stop in and join the family.
