ChoLon - Downtown: what do users think?

Jason Wissner: What an awesome experience. While some of the food was a 10 out of five, some of the food was a 4 out of 5 so it all balanced out. I don't think every menu item is for every person, but certain things like the shrimp dumplings are out of this world. The service is amazing and nothing short of high-end. The atmosphere and the vibe in the restaurant are relaxed yet crisp. I really enjoyed the people watching during the busy lunch hour and will definitely be back.

juliana diaz: I just had lunch in this wonderful restaurant, they suggested sharing the plates, and they came as they were ready, we got the glazed salmon and the fried rice, both amazing! With good flavors and excellent service, I highly recommend it.Parking: Paid parking lot nearby

Jennifer T: Recommended dishes French Onion Soup Dumplings

Aundya Azarbarzin: .The Brussel sprouts, pork belly bao buns, Malaysian noodles, and edamame dumplings were tasty. Sadly they were out of the chicken soup dumplings when I was there so l didn't get to try that.

Bianca Schill: Recommended dishes Vegetarian offerings Large vegetarian selection, Vegetarian menu or section

Sara Teklehaimanot: This place is such a vibe. The interior is so funky, I love it. The food was superb! AhhThe mushroom herb omelette was to die for and the chicken was delish! I also enjoyed a coconut water beverage which was amazeballs. I highly recommend. It was worth the wait time.

Fruition Restaurant: what do users think?

Marie Beane: We selected the NYE prix fixe for our 4ppl dinner on 12/28. One in our group had severe allergies to cheese, butter and eggs. The Chef and Staff were so accommodating and gracious. They somehow managed to appeased all! They always provide this level of excellence. Thank you for making this high maintenance occasion such a special treat!

John Hotchkiss: Fruition, like so many other exquisite Denver eating establishments, was slighted by the Michelin Guide's fraught visit at the end of 2023. Fruition deserves, at least as much as all of the Mentioned and the Bib Gourmand locations, to be on the list. And perhaps they deserve it even more than the rest. The ambiance is always, always warm, welcoming, and cozy. One of the things that I love about Fruition is its small, familial dining room. The staff greet all comers with enthusiasm. As they should - their product is excellent. After relieving us of our coat, we are sat beside the window in the little seating gallery between the kitchen and the main dining room. This is now my preferred place to sit.Bridget, our server, was splendid. Her knowledge of the menu, her thoughtful suggestions, and her attention to our needs - before they were even fully formed - is testament not only to her skill and her expertise, but also to the standards that Fruition maintains for the experience of its guests.Get the Chestnut Agnolotti. Get it. Get it a dozen times and you will need it still. Of everything that I've eaten in this city for the past three months, this is by far the most complete, sensuous, sumptuous experience that I've tasted. It is a small dish, unassuming and unimposing. I'm a meat eater myself, and its inclusion as a meatless option does it no favors. It is, in a word, magnificent. The root vegetable "veloute" is a creamy, fluffy, light and ephemeral sauce that I've not seen parallelled in this city. The pillow-like pasta cushions filled with chestnut and vegetables melt in the mouth. The experience is at once striking and wholly unsatisfying - I want more. I wanted more, and I would have gotten more had we not already ordered the other things we'd been awaiting. All of them were divine. But this was on a different plane entirely. The Slow Cooked Duck "Presse" on creamed lentils was splendid. I've grown up with lentils, though never had them creamed. And creamed is the way that lentils best are served, I'm certain now. The ducky buttons were perfectly firm, the sauce a delightful compliment, and the thin garnish a beautiful touch. The Kohlrabi Salad is simple, pleasant, and satisfies that need that we all have for a turnipy/radishy/rooty thing in our lives. Very nice. And the entree of Sauteed Barramundi did not disappoint. I'm always hesitant to eat fish in Denver, save for at a few select sushi restaurants. This might be the result of having grown up out here and understanding the limitations of the seafood scene until recent years. But for whatever reason, I tend to shy away from it. Yet this was marvelous. Firm, flaky, moist, glitteringly presented with the trout roe emulsion.I couldn't have asked for a better dinner. But the Agnolotti .... I'll be back for that. And Bridget, thank you for a splendid evening. Fruition is underrated, under-known, and a brilliant treat.

Caroline Brackney: An amazing dining experience! It was our first time visiting Fruition and certainly won’t be our last! Started off with the Chestnut Agnolotti followed by the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin. Drinks were also amazing, enjoyed the Serrano You Didn’t cocktail. Great service and phenomenal food. Loved that the atmosphere felt intimate too. Can’t wait to visit again!

Adriana Ardila: Delicious food with a beautiful view of Denver. The food is a mix of Mediterranean and Spanish dishes. The hummus platter was big and very good. Enough for 4 peopleThe seafood paella was ok even though it had a lot of shellfish, it lacked salt for my taste. But the sangria was very good.We had a delightful goat cheesecake, and the macadamia nuts were amazing

Jes Herm: Delicious tapas, albeit expensive

Tocabe, An American Indian Eatery: what do users think?

Aidan Wilkinson: The absolute most authentic indigenous restaurant in Denver. It's the ONLY indigenously owned Native American restaurant in the city - and it shows. Food is top-notch. I felt great, like I could go straight to the gym right after my meal. Sometimes I forget how complex good food should taste. Significantly cheaper than Chipotle and tastes better.

C: The food was absolutely incredible, everyone in our group was so impressed we all kept repeating it over and over. 😅Two of us had shredded bison stuffed frybread. There was so much meat, the flavor was amazing. There's a lot of delicious topping choices too, and the salad was great as well. Two of our group had bison ribs, one had a salad, the other had green chili stew and they raved about all of it.We sat and visited a little beyond finishing our meals, and decided to share two orders of wojapi cup and frybread for dessert. Never too much frybread, and the berry sauces were excellentCan't wait to go back! Highly recommend! Also, the online Tocabe Indigenous Marketplace is one of my favorite places to shop for gifts. For every two items purchased, one pantry item is donated to Native and Indigenous community based organizations to create accessibility to wholesome and nutritious traditional foods. It doesn't look busy in the picture with empty chairs, it was 1-2 in the afternoon - but it got super busy while we were there. It's a very popular place!

Tavernetta: what do users think?

Teiberious :::: I don't really know if there's anything I can say about this place that hasn't already been said, but we absolutely love it here. It has 100% grown into our go-to spot in downtown Denver. While it is definitely not the cheapest place to go out, the quality of the food and the quality of the service still make you feel when you are walking out of there like you got a good value. I'm already looking forward to our next time

Rack City: w homemade rigatoniAgnolottiTagliatelleFollowed byBranzino for 2NY Strip - was delicious prepared firstLastly the home made tiramisu.Incredible course

Guilherme Dino Montanini: This place is great! A must go.The atmosphere and the vibes are pretty cool... great decoration with a modern design. The food is incredible. We had plenty of it. The focaccia bread 🍞 is excellent, the burrata is from another planet 🌍, same for the scallops. We also had a lobster past that was good but can't compare with the lamb ragu rigatoni 🍝Nice wine menu

Shriti Pradhan: We had a day of layover in Denver and my husband found this place for dinner. We were there for their happy hour that started at 4PM and it did not disappoint. Everything on the menu was so delicious- our absolute favorites were the Venetian spritz, bucatini Al Amatriciana, focaccia and the Burrata. I amNot a big fan of focaccia and this one just blew me away, it came with this oil, bi what dip that was so yummy! Our server was super nice and recommended a bunch of her favorites, which we tried! Highly recommend giving this place a try and make a reservation.

Avelina: what do users think?

Greg: UPDATE: I've been back twice since posting this review, the food has been fantastic each time. Had the Chef's Choice last night w/two others and it was an incredible experience. Definitely one of my favorite places in Denver!Great place and a lovely evening! The service was impeccable, the food fantastic. Lots of great flavors, served beautifully. Only "complaint" is that the seating if you are just two is VERY close to the table next you ... we wound up chating w/the folks at the next table because it kind of felt like they were at our table lol. If you are looking for privacy you should probably ask for it when you make your reservation. I will be going back!

Mary Margraf: Amazing! Food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere was wonderful. I wish I could give more stars!Vegetarian options: vegetarian risotto option and cheese charcuterie boardParking: parked at a $10 lot down the street since on street parking is limited to 2 hours

Linger: what do users think?

Jacquelyn Asiala: , amazing beverages and food. The Mongolian BBQ Duck Bao and Scallion Pancakes were my favorite dishes, and I could have kept drinking the New Saigon all night if I'd had the space in me. Linger gives a great, playful nod to the building's history but by no means relies on the novelty of it; the service, atmosphere, and flavors are what truly make it an amazing experience.Edit: added a really bad pic of really good food.

Work & Class: what do users think?

Benjamin Dlin: Well curated menu of upscale southern comfort food. Cool vibes inside. And pleasantly surprised by prices!

Valerie Walker: Really nice place, great service, the food was good and the ambiance as well as.Food: 5/5 …

NC: The food here is incredibly legit and is a great group spot. While they do not take reservations, get your name on the list and visit any of the nearby breweries as you wait. The lamb was so good we had to order another round.Drinks were alright but honestly the food is the star of the show here.

Stephen Nicholson: . Our lamb came out a little dry and our server brought us another one when we mentioned it. It was so amazing the second time around. I'm definitely coming back!

Eric Yeager: Ah man just an all around great American food spot. Food was delishious, service fast and attentive, and the price was great for what you got. I got out spending probably 20%ess than I thought I was going to spend. This should be on any locals short list to visit - and should definitely be up there if you have family or friends in town you are looking to share a solid meal with. All food comes family style which is a great move. Small portions are good for 2 people, with large portions serving about 4 people.Get as many things on the menu as you can stomache. All great and quality fresh food.Hard to say much more. It's a quintessential American restaurant in Denver to try out. I'm looking forward to making it back.

Hope Dugger: Great food and service. Plenty of gluten free options and attention to detail to ensure all food is made gluten free for those with Celiac.Dietary restrictions: Great gluten free options

Ryan Larscheid: Wow! I visited with two colleagues and the entire experience was phenomenal. Seriously, the food and drinks were so good. I can't wait for a return visit. We had the pork carnitas, braised short ribs, brussels & butternut squash hash, jambalaya rice and beans, and the braised greens. Oh my gosh...I could have eaten an entire bowl of the brussels and butternut squash hash. So good. We also had the carrot mango ginger cocktail with mezcal. Again, exceptional. I highly recommend this spot!Dietary restrictions: Many gluten free options

Mercantile Dining and Provision: what do users think?

Todd Sears: My wife and I recently visited Mercantile for our Anniversary dinner. The food and service were outstanding. We had snacks, starters and main courses, none of which disappointed. The descriptions were spot on and each item was prepared, seasoned and presented exceptionally. If you are looking for a great meal I would highly recommend this. The only drawback is the noise level, which is completely unavoidable with ceilings that are 25 feet high. Union Station is Denver history so dining there far outweighed the elevated noise. We look forward to a return visit in the near future.

Joshua Luke: , I don’t think of quality food. On a layover in Denver, I did some research for restaurants close to Union Station. Imagine my surprise when many people suggested Mercantile IN Union Station. I originally had a reservation for right when they opened but ended up ordering takeout due to some last-minute changes in plans. The staff were really accommodating in getting me served and sent on my way quickly. I sat at the bar and soaked in the beautiful space as I waited for my food. From the bar area, one can see into the open kitchen. The dining room toward the back looked lovely.Prices are on the higher end, but the food quality was immaculate. I felt boring ordering a burger, but the ingredient list made it a no-brainer. This was one of the best burgers I’d had in years. The flavor profile melded perfectly into a juicy rich meal. The fries were delicious and came with two dipping sauces. Takeout food often feels cheaper, but they packed this well. I couldn’t resist trying a ham and cheese croissant as well. The only detraction to my meal was I wish they’d at least offered to warm up the pastry. The croissant was delicious and perfectly balanced. Many stuffed pastries spew innards everywhere but this one held together well. The flaky crust was divine.I was also pleased by how safe the area felt. I had seen online the area went through some serious struggles in the past few years. I felt safe walking around the area.

Beckon: what do users think?

Hannah Giere: As the Michelin star suggests, the food is incredible and the service noteworthy. You know that but do you know Annie? She was my server last March. I’m not one to leave reviews but this restaurant and her service are worth it. I’ve never seen such incredible food and service with so much kindness. The general atmosphere of this restaurant is accepting, you can wear what you want and show up as you are. The service reinforces this with fun facts, tips and replacing cutlery at each course to show you how to enjoy them best. The food was great, the planned experience by staff incredible, and Annie, our server, a delight. A year after eating here I remembered her, found her name in my notes and left this review. I regret it’s so late. Thanks Annie!

David Wright: Beckon is one the most memorable culinary experiences I've ever had. I would put it on equal to Frasca in Boulder. Everything about the evening was wonderful. For you and one special person, I would highly recommend booking the Chef's table for its romantic yet quietly-social ambiance. Beckon's chef beautifully extracts and honors the essence of each ingredient served during the eight, wonderfully diverse courses reflective of the season. It would be a shame to ruin the surprise in store for you by naming our favorites. Suffice it to say not one will disappoint in flavor or texture. I would also highly suggest trying the Sommelier's wine offerings for your first visit. They truly complement and enhance the flavors with each course's expertly-selected pairing. We found the staff to be knowledgeable and attentive and the service from everyone was superb. I am already anxiously awaiting the opening of next season's reservations so that I can book a next visit in the spring.

Casey Chi: The food was amazing. That's why we went. Not a bite was left behind. It was fun! It was exciting! But.... the part of the meal I loved the most was the non-alcoholic beverage pairing. It was unique and some were as complex as the food. I laugh when I remember him saying 'I don't have any rules, I'm just a bartender'. Sir, you are a magician. Thank you for bringing the fun of drinking back for those of us on the wagon!!

Lexi Aagesen: The service was absolutely impeccable! Natalie greeted me as if we were old friends. I sat at the chef counter, and Lexi was very attentive, as was everyone on the staff. At one point, the sommelier accidentally topped off my sparkling water with flat, and before I could take a sip, he realized it and brought me a fresh glass. That attention to detail was present at every moment, by all the staff. After every dish I said to myself,'It can't get better than this', and it did!!! I watched the magic happen right before my eyes as the chefs plated the dishes, and my taste buds were still shocked at the deliciousness of it all!! Thank you for a phenomenal evening and a memorable dining experience!

Christina Garbe: Wow! We dined here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This ended up being one of our most unforgettable dining experiences yet. Every time we thought the next bite of food couldn’t get any better than the last, the kitchen would bring out another mind blowing delicious bite. The food was so unique, delicate, and tasty. It was a full sensory experience. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and taken care of. The sommelier Logan was extremely knowledgeable and recommended some really incredible wine. Chef Duncan and Allison have really created something special here. That Michelin star is well deserved. We can’t wait to come back and dine again. Thank you guys for an amazing anniversary dinner.

v e r o n i c a b r o s l a w i k: . after always hearing such lovely things about the establishment, i finally just decided enough was enough and decided to treat myself in 2024.you purchase a multi course meal at the time of your reservation. buy the wine pairing. since you're getting fancy, just go ahead and spring for good stuff - hell, I bought myself caviar and flowers because YOLO.we had an 815pm reservation on saturday night. i wouldn't do it any other way. service was impeccable. i can absolutely see why they got their michelin star. food was superb, drinks were tasty, and dessert was fantastic. would return, would recommend. get your honey and enjoy an evening, just the two of you. don't try to make it four people - it's just a perfect date night. their website says to take a car service, and honestly, that's probably the only thing i would change about the night!!i usually take all the pictures, but i left my phone in my jacket, and that was EXACTLY the right thing to do to just live in that moment. so unlike my other reviews, no photos but no regrets. go see it for yourself.

Layce Smith: My husband and I celebrated our 10th anniversary at Beckon. We sat at the Chefs Counter and opted for the sommelier wine pairing with our 8-course meal. The service, food, and drink were all beyond incredible. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling stuffy. The staff instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel welcome. Both the chefs and the sommeliers help you navigate and understand each course, which really adds to the enjoyment. It's not just a meal; it's a unique and exciting experience that lasts between 2.5 to 3 hours. We loved every bite, sip, and second. We enjoyed the Snow Moon menu, and our favorite course was the Black Cod, Sherry & Hazelnut paired with a Big Basin Vineyards Chardonnay. 🤤

Alistair Clay: BEWARE! You're about to enjoy Denver's finest dining experience. The staff is warm, inviting, knowledgeable, and kind. The wine pairings were absolutely exquisite, as delicate and balanced as every dish. The attention to detail was astounding and the service was beyond words. Beckon officially marks a turning point in Denver's history. Once hailed by Bourdain as the worst food scene in the country, it's a shame Tony never got to see this. You'll leave Beckon with a full belly and full heart. This is undoubtedly the first of many ⭐ for this dedicated crew.Thank you all for the wonderful evening.

Zachary: I had an absolutely wonderful evening at Beckon. I went with my father to celebrate my birthday and was blown away. We were both seated at the chefs counter and ordered the tasting menu. I also chose to opt for the nonalcoholic drink menu. The atmosphere was both warm and welcoming, while the chefs counter was open and suave. Beckon ran like clockwork, there was nothing out of place and I never found myself having to wait for anything. The staff were incredibly friendly and personable while remaining efficient. While I do not have any food allergies or preferences, Beckon was accommodating and provided different food options if needed. The food was outstanding and some of, if not the best food I’ve ever had. It was elegant and delightful. The care, flavor and quality were comparable to that of three star Michelin restaurants, including Pierre Gagnaire and Le Pré Catelan. The drinks from the garden pairing were extraordinary and creative. At the end of the evening, I was left perfectly fulfilled and astonished. I can not wait to visit again in the future and hope Beckon continues to grow and gain the recognition it deserves. Thank you for letting me dine at Beckon!

David Mayberg: Brought my partner here for her birthday. She had wanted to try it since it was the first resturant in Denever to get a star. I knew it would be perfect for her because she does not enjoy drinking alcohol and they have a unique non alcoholic drink pairing which I have not seen at other Resturants. The whole chefs table experience is reasonable for the average Michelin star and adding the caviar experience was not a price gouge. So I added both to the dinner. We arrived and were warmly greeted and frustrate to our seat. The chefs table fits around 20 people. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and explained to us about every dish and how was Scandinavian inspired. My favorite dish was the ice cream mashed potatoes and don’t knock it till you try it. We never felt like we waited too long for the next course and we never felt rushed. The whole experience lasted a little over three hours and we had the best time. They did a beautiful birthday celebration at the end, and really made it a wonderful evening for both of us. We would be interested in going back and eating in the dining room sometime in the future.
